I picked up L'Oreal's Le Rouge Infallible lipstick at Walgreens the other day in "Enduring Berry". I put it on the next morning, and ended up really liking it. I don't like the look of clear lids on lipsticks, however, said lid allowed me to see what color I was actually getting. I liked how smoothly and evenly the lipstick went on. The product made me lips appear moist and dark pink. It didn't settle into the lines of my lips, nor did it smear. I ended up being really happy with it; I can't wait to buy more L'Oreal lip products.

Sonia Kashuk Lipstick
I bought Sonia Kashuk's lipstick in "Violetta" at Target the other day; I had never tried any of her lip products. I put it on when I got home, and I really liked it. The packaging was nice and sleek: it was just a black tube with "Sonia Kashuk" emblazoned down one side. The lipstick went on smoothly, and the color was rich and even after only a few swipes. I loved the color; it was different than most shades of lipstick, but not to the point of being weird. The lipstick stayed on well, and did not smear, nor did it dry out my lips. I was very please with this lipstick, and I will be buying more of Sonia Kashuk's products in the near future.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss
I picked up Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip gloss at Walgreens the other day in "Pink Afterglow," and put it on soon after. The lip gloss went on well; I only needed a few swipes of it. The gloss felt heavy on my lips, but it looked great. It had just enough shimmer and pigment, and it didn't settle into the lines of my lips. The lip gloss stayed on pretty well without smearing, and it didn't dry out my lips. I was really happy with this product, and I will probably try other shades of this gloss.
Maybelline Great Line Eyeliner
I had spotted Maybelline's iconic shades of pink and green at the store the other day, and was drawn to it. This wasn't a mascara, though; it was an eyeliner. I bought Maybelline's Great Line Eyeliner in Violet. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical; non-liquid eyeliners aren't exactly my thing. I ended up being justified in my skepticism. The eyeliner wasn't very pigmented, nor could I be very precise with it. I had to put on coat after coat to even get the color to show up, and even then, it was translucent. By the time I had put on so many swipes, I ended up with a very thick line. I ended up blending it a little and wearing it as eye shadow. On the bright side, it stayed on really well. I will likely end up using this eyeliner as an eye shadow stick; I will not buy this product again, however.
Femme Couture Monster Lash Mascara
I had wanted a new mascara that delivered a lot of volume, so I picked up Femme Couture's Monster Lash Mascara. I was drawn to the gold tube, and had high hopes for it. I ended up liking it! The brush was pretty standard; it was pretty much like the brush from Great Lash: cylindrical and easy to use. The mascara went on in just a few swipes, and gave me awesome volume and length. The mascara held it's effect pretty well, and didn't chip or flake. I will probably end up buying this and other mascaras from Femme Couture in the near future.
Palladio Lipstick
I picked up Palladio's lipstick in "Juniper" the other day at Sally's; I had wanted a dark red color. I put it on a few days later, and was fairly impressed with it. First off, it smelled like cake; I'm not really sure why. The lipsticked also went on very dark on the first swipe, and was completely matte. The color showed up as a dark purpley red, and it will definitely be my new go-to shade for night. It didn't settle into the lines of my lips, nor did it smear. It gave even coverage across my lips, and almost made my lips look cartoon-ey, as they were so well defined The lipstick also stayed on very well without fading. I will definitely be buying more Palladio lipsticks!

ELF Baked Eye Shadow
I bought ELF's Baked Eye Shadow in "Burnt Plum" at Target, mostly because I wanted the materials to make a purple smokey eye. I ended up really liking it! I liked how the shadow was big enough to last me for a while, and how the package was clear on the top, so I could see what I was getting. The shadow was highly pigmented, and blended really well with my other shadows. I ended up using it as a shadow and a liner, which worked out pretty well for me. The eye shadow stayed on really well; I will be buying more ELF Baked Eye Shadows in the future.
Femme Couture Mineral Effects Loose Eye Shadow
I picked up a few shades of Femme Couture Mineral Effects Loose Eye Shadow at Sally's the other day, because I've always been a sucker for loose shadow. The best shade that I got was "Truffle," a dark shade of taupe. I liked how the shadow swept on silkily, and had a good amount of shimmer. It only took a few swipes to put it on, and it blended with with the liner that I put on afterwards. The shadow stayed on well, and I couldn't even feel it on my eyelids. I will probably go back and buy even more shades of this shadow.
Pacifica Color Quench Natural Moisture Lip Tint
Continuing on my quest for the HG of tinted lip balm, I bought Pacifica's Color Quench Natural Moisture Lip Tint in "Blood Orange" at Target. I liked how basic the packaging was, but how it was also attractive, with it's curly script and cute swirls. I put the bal on when I got home, and promptly fell in love. I liked the tart scent of it, and how smooth it felt going onto my lips. My lips felt moisturized, and the dark pink tint looked great against my complexion. The balm left my lips smooth and moisturized, and I will definitely be buying it again!
ELF Makeup Mist & Set Spray
I hadn't tried any makeup setting sprays yet, so I decided that I would start out with a cheap one, and see how I liked it. I bought ELF's Makeup Mist & Set Spray for $3 at Target, and ended up liking it. By pairing the spray with my ELF eyelid primer, I got budge-proof eye makeup for the entire day. The spray works well on my cheeks, too; I noticed a definite difference in how long my blush stayed on. The spray comes in a big enough bottle to last a fairly long time, and given the price, I will buy it again when I run out.
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss
Since I've been buying these lip glosses for over a year, I figured that they were worth a post. Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Glosses are high quality glosses that come in a variety of shades ranging from clear to deep red. My personal favorites are "Sugar Rush," a sweetly scented clear gloss, and "Guava Girl," a fruity translucent shade. The glosses stay on well enough, unless one is eating or making out. They don't settle into the lines of my lips, nor do they smear throughout the day. The lip glosses don't dry out my lips, and they soak in after about an hour and a half. I will definitely be buying more shades of this lip gloss in the near future.

ELF Matte Lip Color
I saw ELF's Matte Lip Color in "Rich Red" at Target the other day, and bought it, mostly to satisfy my curiosity. I don't think there's nearly enough matte lipsticks on the market; could a cheap brand like ELF really deliver a good one, much less a great one? The answer in short is "yes". It was highly pigmented, and only took a few swipes to put on. It went on matte, and didn't settle into the lines of my lips. It didn't smear throughout the day, and stayed on perfectly, even when I was eating. I will definitely buy more of ELF's Matte Lip Color.
Maybelline Modern Metallics Eye Shadow
I've always been a sucker for green and gold eye shadows, so when I saw a palette with both, I snapped it up. I bought Maybelline's Modern Metallics Eye Shadow duo at Walgreens in "Sunkissed Olive". I put it on the next morning, and ended up liking it. The shadows went on with just a few swipes, and had rich colors and a silky feel. They blended together well, and really brought out my eyes; long story short, I was in love. The eye shadows stayed on well throughout the day, and only creased a little. I will definitely be buying more Modern Metallics Eye Shadow duos in the very near future.
Ulta Voluptuous Volume Mascara
I got Ulta's Voluptuous Volume mascara the other day, because I needed a good, inexpensive mascara that I hadn't tried before. I was looking for the HG of cheap mascara, and I thought that this might be it. I was drawn to the shiny orange tube, and had high hopes for it. I put it on the following day, and was moderately impressed. The mascara gave me good volume, and only a little curl. I didn't really get any length from the mascara, but that's not such a big deal to me. I got pretty decent definition, although it caused my lashes to clump together a little. The mascara held it's effect throughout the day, and didn't flake. I might buy this mascara again, I might not.

Ulta Automatic Eyeliner
I wanted a good, dark green eyeliner, so I bought Ulta's Automatic Eyeliner in Olive. I put it on when I got home, and ended up liking it. The packaging was pretty basic, which I like in an eyeliner; I don't want to have to put on each of my liners differently. The eyeliner went on easily, and had just enough pigment in it to make it visible, but not over-the-top. It blended well with my shadow, and I ended up with a smudgy-sexy look. Since it wasn't a liquid liner, it smeared a little throughout the day, but I had anticipated that. I liked the eyeliner, and will probably buy it again.
Hard Candy Stroke of Gorgeous Liquid Eyeliner
I bought Hard Candy's Stroke of Gorgeous Liquid Eyeliner after being impressed by their poppin' pigments. I ended up not liking the eyeliner, though. It went on really light, and barely had any pigment. The brush pulled at my skin a little, and the result of my first swipe was a jagged, barely visible line. I put on a few more coats, and by the time I was done, the line was at least even, but the liner, which was supposed to be black, showed up pale gray. What a disappointment; I won't buy this eyeliner again.
Glaceau Vitamin Schtick
I bought Glaceau's Vitamin Schtick at Walmart, mostly because it was so different than other products I had tried. It came in a nondescript roll-on tube, and claimed to have SPF 15 and moisturizing abilities I got it in XXX, an acai-blueberry combination. I always thought that Glaceau's vitamin water was a little hokey, but I decided to give their schtick a fair chance. I put it on, and was impressed. It rolled on easily, and had a lot of shine; my lips felt glossy and moisturized. The problem? It tasted like sunscreen. So long as I didn't lick my lips, though, it was fine. I liked how different the product was, and the long-term moisture that it gave me. I might buy this product in more flavors, I might not.
Burt's Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry
After liking some of my other Burt's Bees products, I decided to try out their Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry. I bought it at Walgreens, and was fairly impressed by it. I liked the berry smell of it, and how smoothly it went on. The packaging was the same as all other Burt's Bees lip balm: basic and functional. The lip balm really moisturized and smoothed my lips, and soaked in after about an hour. This is probably my favorite Burt's Bees lip balm, even above their replenishing lip balm. I will most likely buy this lip balm again, and try out their other balms as well.

Hard Candy World Balmination Glossy Tinted Lip Balm
Wanting a cheap lip balm, I went to Walmart and happened upon Hard Candy's World Balmination Glossy Tinted Lip Balm. I bought it in "Starfish," a coral shade. I found the packaging to be a bit tacky, but that's just me. I put it on when I got home, and I liked how it smelled slightly of vanilla, and felt very lightweight on my lips. It was slightly glossy, and translucent. Unfortunately, the balm settled into the lines of my lips, making me look... old. It stayed on for about an hour, and didn't dry out my lips; however, I doubt that I'll buy this balm again.
Hard Candy Poppin' Pigments
I bought Hard Candy's Poppin' Pigments at Walmart; they were 6 dollars for a pack of two. I bought them in "Kiss and Tell," a gold tube, and a light blue tube. I put them on the next day, and was initially terrified, as I was with Maybelline's Cat Eyes mascara. I didn't like how I had to shake the pigment out of the tube; I would have preferred to dip my brush in. Once I shook the pigments onto my brush and swiped them on, though, I was impressed. I liked how the pigments were shimmery and sheer, and they blended really well. I couldn't even feel the shadows on my eyes, and they stayed on well throughout the day. I plan on going back to Walmart and buying more pigments!
Maybelline Colossal Volum' Cat Eyes Mascara
I wanted to try out another Maybelline mascara, and I had heard great things about their Colossal Volum' Cat Eyes mascara, so I picked it up at CVS. I put it on the next day, and was initially put off by it. At first, the curved brush gave me spiky, short lashes. However, after swiping it on seemingly a million more times (more like ten), I got a really good effect. The mascara gave me good length and volume, and my lashes flared out at the sides. If you have time to put on numerous coats, then this is a great mascara; I like it as much as a like the Falsies, and that's saying a lot. But if you need to put your mascara on quickly, skip the Cat Eyes.
ELF Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara
I picked up ELF's Lengthening and Volumizing mascara at Target; I needed a good cheap mascara to throw in my purse, and this one qualified. I put it on a few days later, and ended up liking it. The brush was pretty basic, which I would prefer over something totally abstract. It gave me good curl, which is hard to find in a mascara, and volume to spare. It didn't give me much length, but I've never really cared about length. It held it's effect throughout the day, and didn't chip or flake. I'll definitely buy this mascara again.

Physicians Formula PH Matchmaker Lip Gloss
I was skeptical about Physicians Formula's PH Matchmaker lip gloss, but I decided to give it a go. I picked it up in "Light Pink" at CVS, and put it on when I got home. It went on clear, and slowly turned to a deep pink shade that went with my skin tone nicely. The effect was subtle, and the gloss felt good on my lips. I liked that the gloss's packaging included a mirror, but I didn't see the point in the built-in light. I'm not complaining though. I was impressed by the lip gloss; there isn't much like it out on the market. I might buy it again.
Ulta Extreme Wear Gel Eyeliner
After being semi-impressed by Ulta's eye shadow, I decided to try out their Extreme Wear gel eyeliner. I got it in "Smoke," a pale gray color; I already have a black gel eyeliner that I love. I got a free brush with it, because Ulta cosmetics were buy two get two free at the time. I put on the eyeliner the following day, and was moderately impressed. It took a few swipes to get on, but once it got on, it stayed on. It didn't leave little chunks behind, either! I liked the subtle shade of gray, and how it blended well with my eye shadow. I might buy the Extreme Wear eyeliner again in more colors.
Revlon Photoready Mascara
I love Revlon's Photoready foundation, so I thought I'd love their Photoready mascara. I bought it at Walgreens, and put it on the next day, and was really disappointed. The packaging said "3D Volume," but I saw no such thing. It gave me great length and definition, but no volume. It went on easily, and the formula was neither too wet nor too dry. However, without volume, a mascara is nothing to me. If you're looking for everything but volume, then it's a fine mascara. If you want volume, though, don't waste your time.
ELF Translucent Mattifying Powder
I bought ELF's Translucent Mattifying Powder as an option for when I don't want to put on a full face of foundation. I paid three dollars for it, and got much more for my money than I thought I would. The packaging was nice; the product came in a sleek black container, along with a mirror and sponge. The powder blended into my face well, and offered a little bit of coverage, and kept my face shine-free all day. It stayed on well, and gave a good base for my blush. I will definitely buy this product again.
Maybelline XXL Curl Power Mascara
I usually don't go for double-ended mascaras, but I decided to give it a shot. I bought Maybelline's XXL Curl Power Mascara, and swept it on the next morning skeptically. I put on the first step, and it gave me good volume and definition, but very little length. The next end amended the length issue, and I ended up with long, lush lashes. The mascara stayed on throughout the day, without losing it's effect, or flaking. Nice! I just wonder why the mascara had to have two ends; couldn't they put out a mascara that gave length, volume, and definition? Anyways, I'll probably buy this product again.
Nivea Creme
After liking Nivea's lip butter, I decided to grab their Creme when I was at Ulta. It was 99 cents, which appealed to my thrifty nature. It was in a round tin, just like the lip butters. Having to use my fingers didn't annoy me the way it normally does, because the Creme was for my whole body. I put it on my lips, my elbows, my cuticles... It went on white, but after rubbing it, it turned clear. It soaked into my lips after about an hour, and it gave great moisture, especially on my lips. I would definitely buy this product again.
L'Oreal Infallible Lip Gloss
After a few good experiences with L'Oreal, I decided to pick up their Infallible lip gloss. I got it in "Red," which is pretty obviously a bright red shade. I put it on when I got home, and liked how easily it went on. It felt smooth on my lips, and gave me a nice, glossy red. After putting it on, I went out for the day. When I got home that night, it was still perfectly in place. Infallible, indeed. The color was still going strong, and it hadn't smudged or flaked. It dried out my lips a little, as most long-wear lip products do. I would buy it again, though; as it lived up to it's long-wear name.

Ulta Extreme Wear Lip Stain
While at Ulta, I noticed a whole shelf with only one tube on it. It was the last tube of Ulta's Extreme Wear lip stain, and it looked... nasty. I bought it anyways, though. If it was sold it, then surely it's not as nasty as it looks! I ended up loving it. It went on easily, and dried almost immediately, staining my lips a berry color, similar to the pink square. It stayed on really well, too! It had a tart taste to it, and looked good on it's own, or with gloss on top of it. If I can get a hold of more shades, I will buy them.
Ulta Eye Shadow
I haven't tried many Ulta products, so I decided to try their eye shadow, and a few other things. I got the shadow in "Aztec Gold". It was a pretty decent eye shadow. It went on well enough, and had a nice color. It didn't stay on great, though. Some ended up underneath my eyes, and it creased a bit. But as far as cheapie shadows go, this one wasn't bad. I might buy it again, if I see a color that no other brand has.

ELF Cream Eyeliner
One of my favorite eyeliners is ELF's cream eyeliner. I got it in black for about 3 dollars at Target, and it was worth the buy. The eyeliner came in a little pot, and had it's own brush with it. The brush worked well, and the eyeliner went on in one swipe, without pulling at my skin, or leaving chunks behind. The eyeliner was smudge-proof and highly pigmented. It stayed on throughout the day without smearing or melting down my face. For 3 dollars, I will mostly likely buy as many shades as I possibly can of this eyeliner.
L.A. Colors Eye Shadow Palette
I got L.A. Colors' eye shadow palette in Wine & Roses as a gift, and I ended up liking it. Not loving it, though. The palette had various shades of shadow ranging from pink to lavender. The shadows went on easily enough, and blended well. They didn't stay on for very long, though. The smeared a little throughout the day, and I had to sweep a little out from underneath my eyes. Although the colors were nice, the palette was more suited for a shorter event, like a night out, than for all-day wear.
ELF Eyelid Primer
One of my favorite makeup products is ELF's Eyelid Primer. It's cheap (as in one dollar!) and effective. I got mine at Target, and have continued buying it for months and months. The applicator feels good on my eyelid, and the products blends in well; you can't even see it once it's rubbed in. The primer keeps my eye shadow in place all day, despite the weather and amount of eye shadow I usually put on. My only problem is the small tube; I'd love to see it in a larger container, so I wouldn't have to keep running to the store to get it. Other than that, though, it's perfect.
Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara
Maybelline's Define-A-Lash mascara stood out to me, mostly because of the pink tube, and the fact that I hadn't heard of it before. Usually, Maybelline advertises their products to the point that everyone has heard of it. Anyways, I bought the mascara, and was suspicious of it, after my recent failure with Full N' Soft. I ended up liking Define-A-Lash, but not loving it the way I do some of Maybelline's other mascaras. True to it's name, the mascara gave me great definition, and very few clumps. I got a lot of length, but only a little volume, compared to my other mascaras. Despite the lack of volume, I liked this mascara. I won't buy it again, though; I need my volume.
Maybelline Full N' Soft Mascara
I've always loved Maybelline's mascaras, so I figured that their Full N' Soft mascara was worth a shot. I bought it at Walmart, and put it on the next day and... I hated it. It was boring! It took way too many coats to get on, and gave me no volume boost, and only a little bit of extra length. I got a few clumps with it, as well. I would have been better off using literally any of my other mascaras, even my Rimmel ones. This mascara was a total flop, and I won't be buying it again.

Maybelline a Touch of Light Luminizer
I bought Maybelline's a Touch of Light Luminizer at Walgreens on clearance, and promptly fell in love. I liked how easily it went on and blended, and it gave my cheeks just enough definition for it to be noticeable. It was really lightweight, not cakey, and I couldn't even feel it on my skin. It stayed on well throughout the day, and is one of my favorite new makeup items. If I can track the product down again, I will continue to buy it.
CG Smoothers Hydrating Foundation
I think I've actually found a good Covergirl product; their CG Smoothers Hydrating foundation. It doesn't work for a regular foundation, but it works great as an under-eye concealer. The foundation gives heavy coverage, which hides my under-eye circles really well. It stays on throughout the day, and blends with my skin well. I don't now if I'll buy it again; concealers can be found in more purse-friendly containers. However, as far as Covergirl products go, this one was pretty good.
Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm
I needed a good tinted lip balm, mostly because I've been using a ton of lipstick lately. I bought Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in "Hibiscus" at Walmart. I ended up liking it. It went on smoothly, and lent my lips a hint of pink. It stayed on fairly well, and didn't smear around. It only dried out my lips a little bit, but that "little bit" shocked me. Burt's Bees usually never does that! Despite the slight drying, I really liked the balm. I probably won't buy it again, though. There are plenty of tinted balms out there, and this one was fairly average.
Physicians Formula Sexy Glow Glossy Stain
I picked up Physicians Formula's Sexy Glow Glossy Stain at Ulta on a whim, mostly because of the cute packaging. It had a little band of fishnet-print ribbon around the top of the tube, and a little silver stiletto charm. I got it in hot pink. I put it on, and was impressed by how wide the applicator was, and how the stain went on in one swipe. It smelled a little like cake batter, and dried really fast. It stained my lips burgundy (not hot pink), and stayed on well throughout the day. I got a lot of compliments on it, and was overall thrilled with the stain. I wish it came in more than two shades, though. I might buy the other shade, red, and I might not.
Maybelline Turbo Volum' Express Mascara
Since Maybelline's mascaras never fail to impress me, I decided to buy their Turbo Volum' Express mascara. I liked how traditional the brush was, and how easy it was to put on. The formula was neither too thick nor too runny. After only a few coats, my lashes were thick and jet-black. It dried quickly, with very little clumps. It stayed on throughout the day without flaking or losing the volume. This mascara is one of my new favorites, and I plan on buying it again when I run out.
NYX Smokey Look Kit
I love little kits that I can just throw in my purse and go, so I just had to buy NYX's Smokey Look Kit. I used it the following day, and was fairly impressed. I liked how I had nine shadow options, and two glosses. The shadows blended really well, and I was pleased with how well they stayed on. The glosses were good, but I hate using little brushes or my fingers to put gloss on. The glosses would be good in a pinch, though. The shadow applicators were good, the gloss applicators... Not so much. I've never seen a gloss brush that I liked, though. I liked how the palette came with a little mirror, and the packaging was sleek and durable. I will probably buy the kit in more shades, such as Bronze Smokey.
Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast
I decided to give Covergirl another chance. They're one of the leading cosmetic brands, how bad can they be? I bought their Smokey Shadow Blast stick in "Silver Sky," a silvery gray duo. I put it on the next day, and was disappointed. The shimmery end took a lot of scrubbing to get on, and even then was barely visible. The dark gray end snapped off when I touched it to my eye! It fell straight off and onto my makeup table. So I put it back in it's spot, and applied it to my eye. The two shades barely blended, and smeared so much throughout the day that the shadows were barely visible when I got home. I sincerely doubt I will ever buy another Covergirl product.

Physician's Formula Bright Collection Eye Shadow
I can never have enough shades of brown eye shadow, so I bought Physician's Formula Bright Collection eye shadow quad in "Metallic Canyon" at Ulta. The shadow went on really smoothly, and I only needed a swipe or two to make it show up. I liked how I didn't have to scrub the brush into the shadow to pick it up, and I also enjoyed how smooth it felt and looked. Four shades didn't seem like a lot of options, but they blended together really well, and I was able to create a few different combinations that looked good. The lower left shade is my new favorite brown shadow, and makes a really good liner, as well. The shadows stayed on really well, and only creased a little. I will definitely be trying more products from Physician's Formula in the near future!
Maybelline Forever Metallic Lipstick
A little while ago, I picked up Maybelline's Forever Metallic lipstick in "Peachy Sheen". I put it on, and was impressed by how smoothly it went on, and how creamy it felt. The lipstick looked just as creamy as it felt! It didn't look that metallic, but it had a little bit of shimmer. It stayed on pretty well, and only dried out my lips a little bit. The product didn't run or smear throughout the day too badly, except for coming off a little bit when I ate or drank, which was to be expected; this isn't a longwear lipstick. The peachy shade looked pretty good on me, and I may end up buying more from Maybelline's Forever Metallic collection.
Milani Eye Shadow
All of the Milani products I've tried have been great, so I decided to try out their eye shadow. I got it in "Coffee Shop", a shimmery dark brown, and I ended up really liking it. It didn't go on evenly at first, but blended in after a few swipes. It wasn't as pigmented as I thought it would be, but I built up the layers until I was satisfied. I liked how shimmery it was, and how well the shadow stayed on; It only creased a little, and it really brought out my eyes. I may try more Milani eye shadows in the near future.
Maybelline Master Duo Eyeliner
Even though I love my Rimmel liquid liner, I decided that I should try something new. I picked up Maybelline's Master Duo eyeliner at Walgreens the other day, and tried it out today. It went on easily without pulling my skin, and was very dark and glossy. I used the thick side of it, and was very impressed. My right eye looked great! My left eye looked like a blind 3 year old applied it. I admit that I'm not great at liquid eyeliner, but Rimmel's handle and brush design kept this from being an issue. I wish that the handle on this liner was thinner and thus more user-friendly, but alas it is not. I will keep using this liner, and continue to hone my liquid eyeliner skills. Maybe one day I can make the Master Duo eyeliner look good on my left side, too! If I get good at using it, I will buy it again.
Revlon Diamond Lust Eye Shadow
After seeing it on clearance at Walgreens, I decided to grab Revlon's Diamond Lust eye shadow in "Plum Galaxy". I put it on the following day, and was... confused. It took a lot of swipes to get it on my eyelid, and it looked patchy and uneven. It settled into the lines of my eyelid, and and smeared around. However, I used my eyeliner brush to put it on as liner, and that actually went pretty well for me. I was really excited to use such a standout shade of sparkly purple, but was sorely disappointed. How long will it take me to learn that I shouldn't buy makeup on clearance? For shame, Revlon. For shame.
Milani Color Statement Lipstick
I decided to try more Milani products, after being impressed by their "Runway Eyes" palette. I picked up their lipstick in "Flirty Fuchsia," a feisty shade of hot pink. I put it on once I got home, and was impressed with how highly pigmented it was; it went on evenly in one swipe. I also liked how, once it was on, I couldn't even tell it was there. I didn't settle into the lines of my lips, and didn't smear around throughout the day. It stayed on well, and had a truly great color. I will definitely be buying more Milani Lipsticks in the near future.
Black Radiance Eye Shadow
The other day at Walmart, I happened upon I brand I hadn't heard of: Black Radiance. Was it specifically for women of color? Were they trying to save the best beauty products for black women? The eye shadows looked pretty cool, so I bought Black Radiance's eye shadow in "Mint Julep". I put it on the following day, and it took a while to put on. Had I been okay with ruining the swirly design, it wouldn't have been such a slow process, but I decided to preserve the design. I pressed my shadow brush into the shadow, but did not swirl it around. Once I got the shadow on, I really liked it. It was a dark gold color, and had a soft glow to it. It stayed on well throughout the day, and didn't crease too much. Maybe they are trying to hide their beauty secrets from us... Kidding, of course. I do plan on buying more eye shadows from Black Radiance.
